Switchcraft insulated jack socket

Insulated version of the classic Fender-style jack socket

This is an insulated version of the jack socket that's commonly used on Fender amplifiers; it replaces the all-metal construction of the standard Switchcraft socket with a nylon nose and housing.
      This is also a switching version, so it's suitable for inputs and outputs. Typically, the switching is used for grounding the tip connection when there's no cable plugged into an amplifier's input socket.

Dimensions & info

This socket is mono, with three solder lugs. The shield connection in this socket is completely isolated from the chassis - thanks to the nylon nose. This makes it perfect for circuits where you want full control over your grounding (e.g. perhaps for a star-grounding scheme). It fits into an 9.5mm diameter hole. This is a genuine Switchcraft part.
