Matchbox 36

Designed to do one thing: match an amplifier’s output impedance to a speaker’s input impedance. It’s perfect for using your favourite speaker cabinet with an amplifier of the ‘wrong’ impedance. Typically these will be vintage amplifiers or their clones, where the manufacturer did not specify the full set of 4 / 8 / 16-Ohm outputs.

The Matchbox can handle amps with power outputs up to 36W. It’s made in the UK from UK-sourced components.

No build + Easy to use

Unlike other Amp Maker products, this is not a kit! It’s ready built and plug and play. Could not be easier to use: one speaker cable to plug your amplifier into the appropriate socket on the back of the Matchbox. Then run another speaker cable from the socket that has the same impedance as your speaker cabinet. That’s it.
